"The Adventure Begins" -- Safari Pin Hunt -- April 22, 2001 at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The Second Pin Celebration Event.
The Earth Day 2001 Jiminy Cricket Pin with a Limited Edition of 5000 was also released. Retail $8.50
Bamboo Mickey the exclusive event pin with a Limited edition of 1000 and a Retail of $8.50 was available for a few lucky quests.
The Dino-Rama 2002 with a Limited Edition of 2000 was released for retail of $8.50.
The Second Countdown Series Dangle Pin was released, Limited edtion of 2500 and Retail $10.50.
New core and open stock pins were released which included;
5 Whimsical Series Pins: Yellow Logo, Blue Rhino, Pink Elephant, Dotted Giraffe, and the Purple Lion. Each Retailed for $6.50.
4 Animal Kingdom Animals: African Elephant, Lion, Grant's Zebra, Giraffe. Each Retailed for $6.50 and they come on information cards.
Artist Michelle Morrow, who created the Tri-Level Spinner Pin .. Artistry of the Earth .. was available for signing.
Mark Seppeala, the designer of the Earth Day 2001 Jiminiy Cricket Pin, was also available for signing.
Guests started out at Palm Court where the 'Field Guide' along with other important event information was handed out. The Field Guide sent you out to receive a stamp for either answering a trivia question correctly or trading a pin.
Once you had received all of the special Safari Mark stamps, the completed Field Guide was the complimentary Tree of Life Pin was to be issued. However, they were not available for the event and were mailed to guests.
The core/map pins that were premiered could be framed on your map for $130.00.
